We see beauty in the truth of an element, from the asymmetrical grooves in a piece of wood or stone, to the way light and shadow inform the mood of a space. The natural world is a playground of potential, in palette, scale, material and form. We borrow from nature in each thinkpure interior, letting multiple aesthetic conversations converge into one. Our work is to observe and listen to this quiet language, to create rooms that are sublime, artful, and spacious, yet still intimate. We know we’ve succeeded when a physical space transcends each decision within its walls, so that no single aspect overwhelms anything else. This harmonious, immersive feeling is the thinkpure signature.

Kelly has been designing residential and commercial environments for two decades. Each project she touches balances the subdued volume or ineffable elegance with all the consideration, utility and intensity of modern life. Clients appreciate the warmth and layering she brings to each space, utilizing scale to inspire awe while simultaneously cultivating ease and familiarity. Without overcomplicating, Kelly is able to apply a variety of tones to her work - from the formal and rarefied to the laissez-faire and highly livable. Kelly’s early aesthetic was shaped through fashion, at the headquarters of Calvin Klein. Her exposure to the world of fashion combined with extensive travels have been seminal to her refined taste and ability to distinguish what is trend from what is timeless. Kelly brings a grounded and deeply sophisticated range of references to her thinkpure projects.

To create, we must understand. This begins with listening. Our process relies on an active client/designer relationship, where clients are invited to co-exist in a dialogue of creative exploration. Communication is paramount as we distill the essence of how a space must serve its people. From highly personal residential projects to the nuances of public spaces for brands, our initial mission is to absorb everything we can from our clients, and then articulate a vision based on what we’ve heard and observed. We limit the number of projects our studio takes on at any one time to ensure the highest personal touch and the most successful experience for all.
